Supah Bowl Pahty

I cannot claim to know much, if anything, about the super bowl or football in general, but I do enjoy a party. So, when the chance to hold or attend a super bowl party comes once a year, I take advantage of it! This year, we held one at our house.

The Steady and Unceasing Wind

Life. New beginnings. Entries into the world. Longing. Heartbreak. Fresh adventures. Perplexities. Trials. New relationships. Old relationships taking on different meanings. Ideas.

Change.

As long as I can remember my life has remained relatively the same. Small events have happened, but never seemed to interrupt the flow of life for me. I can count on one hand the biggest occasions of my existence. At times it seems to me as though the lives of the people around me change and I am a mere spectator effected in very little degrees. Would I have it otherwise? Sometimes I think so.

Then it occurs to me that there is a change happening in my own life. It is the steady and gradual change that effects my entire existence. The change that is taking place in my heart.

We often fear change. Sometimes we welcome it as an old friend or an exciting adventure. Whatever the change and wherever the change, whether it is directly ours or someone else's, we must embrace it, so long as it is of the Lord. Knowing that in each change, drastic or small, God is seeking to mold us into a greater example of Jesus.
With this in mind, would I seek to stop the change around me or order and direct it to suit my own pleasure? 

I think not.

We were privileged to host Ruthie's birthday mystery ride at our house. It was a lot of fun!

We snuck in the other room to light Ruthie's birthday death-by-chocolate. We got them all lit and then Amanda laughed and blew some of them out!! It was so funny! Ruthie enjoyed her 20th birthday delicacy and we did too! We had a good evening of fellowship and I'm thankful for such a great friend like Ruthie!

A New Blog

Ali's wedding went off smashingly! She was gorgeous and the ceremony was filled with God-honoring content. The little boys all looked adorable in their matching newsies hats! I'll post some photos soon, although my camera had a smudge on it so most of the photos are blurry! : ( Keep checking Lori's blog, because her photos will be so much nicer! Rhonda and Tasha were the official photographers, so they may also post some photos.

Kayla, Mom and I had the privilege of making the cake for Ali's wedding. We each took part in some aspect of it's creation and, apart from a carrot cake crash, had little trouble. We found that we worked well together and have decided to go into the business of cake decorating! So, that being said, I would like to introduce you to a new blog....
