Life With Puppy: One Year Later

On year ago today I was given a gift......
...well, at least sometimes I think of her that way!  ; )
But in all honesty, though my dog is hyper when around people, goes shooting into the neighbors' yards to visit, runs away in the middle of the night when I am unable to yell "Nettie, come!!!," and generally has the appetite and palate of a goat, I love this big white, Gromit-looking puppy of mine.
The Lord has used her to show me some awful sins in my life- like selfishness and lack of patience! She has been a catalyst for more discipline and consistency. She is even helping me to develop the "mommy voice" (which in my case, often ends in kids pointing at me whilst laughing).
There are days when I have trouble not thinking of my uncle with malice,
and other days where I am supremely thankful for the little white gift he gave me.
Sometimes she's the source of comfort and cuddles and comedy, while others merely chaos!
But, as I believe God works all things together for my good and His glory, I know there is a purpose for my pretty little goat-dog, Nettie.
To all those who have puppies, may you grow in character!

Oh to have a puppy is to have a bundle of joy and mischief! Not unlike a toddler! But usually the joys out weigh the mischief.

Aman to the end, so true.

Pups are fun, cute, and terrible, all at the same time.

Have a great day.
