A Day Out With Emily

I just adore they young ladies that go to our church. One of them is Emily. She is a lovely, accomplished, sweet sixteen year old with a fun spirit and a dedication to Christ.
Emmy-Lou (as I call her) and I headed to the Vaughn Woods for a picnic and chance to enjoy the scenery.
Here she is being her fun, goofy self- that's my girl! ; )
There were two reasons I picked this spot. The first is because it's nickname is Hobbit Land and if you know Emily, you know that she just loves The Lord of the Rings and knows just about everything there is to know concerning the books (no one wants to play LOTR trivial pursuit against her due to the fact that they'd never get a turn because she gets all of the answers right!).

The other reason is because Emily is a poet and most poets have a keen appreciation for creation. She's always one to point out a beautiful flower or a breath-taking sunset or one of God's finger prints in nature.

What a blessing she has been to our little congregation and to this blogger!

Sweet Emmy-Lou
I can't help but love you!

By the way, that last bit was a couplet (poem) to anyone who is at all impressed with my rhyming skills. ; )
