Collective Thoughts and an Announcement

Nancy Leigh DeMoss once said, "Anything that makes me desperate for God is a good thing." Maybe that's why God allowed the election to go to someone whom most of us, who fear God, didn't want elected. I've already seen the effects of our President-elect on the people of God. They are driven to His Word, driven to prayer, driven to Him. Praise God for this reaction to disappointment! God knows what He's doing and, in all honesty, our nation deserves what we voted for! We'll see how we sojourners react in the days ahead!

For all of you who haven't gone over to Lori's Blog and read her post about her new little baby Caleb Thomas, you should go! He's the newest adorable addition to the Smith boys!! The below photo is of some of us holding Caleb at Sherlock Gnomes 1st Incognito Bash (that's why we aren't dressed normal!!).

This is Zacceus and his sycamore tree (Miss Rena), The Princess Charlotte and Jane Austen (hmmm.... guess who!) admiring Caleb

Now for the announcement..... This is an announcement for Jessi, Jolie, Corrie, Bonnie, Carol and Laura:

Kayla is in the family way!

So we're all geared up for the little baby to come in June and so ecstatic to be grandparents, aunts and uncles. Life is full of wonderful surprises! Babies are so precious! I can't understand how anyone would want to kill them. (If you haven't already heard it, you should go over to the MacDonald's Website and listen to Bonnie's "Mommy" song. It is very convicting and it will make you cry!)

In other, more boring news, I just got a facebook page. It can be very addicting, so I'm trying to exercise some self control, but I've enjoyed catching up with some friends I haven't seen in a long time.

I posted some photos of the wedding on facebook and I thought I would share them with you and especially the Dennys, because people have made comments and I wanted them to hear them. So, for the Denny Family, here are the comments made about your photos:

Me: Isn't Tasha just gorgeous?

Carol: Yes....very!

Bonnie: Yep. : )

Me: I love this picture of Josiah's parents. It's sooo Pat and Rhonda.
Carol: HAHA! Gotta love it!
Bonnie: Hehe. Hi you two! : D

Me: Every best man needs a juice box in order to complete his duties!
Carol: Hi Lance! -waves-
Bonnie: *Second wave* Hey!
Nathan: Nice spikey hair! ; )
Matthew: *wave*

So, I hope you enjoyed the comments, Dennys!

In other thoughts, Hannah, Em and I went to see Fireproof in Westbrook this past Friday. Oh my! Those Kendrick brothers just keep getting better in their filming techniques and story lines. I'm really excited about where the Lord will take their talents! And it was worth it to support a film that clearly states the Gospel of Christ. In a world where love has become just a feeling, this movie takes us back to the roots of love and its true definition. Love isn't just some fleeting emotion, it is persevering, supporting, caring for and giving up your own desires for another person. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE go and support this movie, if you are able. Even if you're not married- hey, I'm single and I went to see it with my single friends! Let's support the good things that are coming out in the media and shun the bad things!!
